Curating exquisite drops from notable legacy vineyards of the Clare Valley, Riverland and Barossa Valley regions. South Australia is known for fertile soils and diverse climates resulting in the state being home to some of the most awarded wineries in the world.
We work alongside a number of awarded vineyards and estates, although we do take a special interest in grapes from the distinguished Hill River Estate. The prestigious vineyard which has vineyards in both the Clare Valley and the Riverland are known for their long history of producing fantastic fruit year after year.
By expertly choosing from a selection from legacy vineyards, Wake Hill Wines vintners have the unique opportunity to focus on exceptional quality without limitation. Wake Hills Wines supports legacy vineyards through minimal intervention and true collaboration to create sophisticated wines known for their richness and vitality.

“Another exemplary Shiraz from the Clare Valley, in particular the Hill River Estate. Opaque maroon hue here, the nose offers chocolate, coffee beans, cassis and blackcurrants. There is a flick of oak, but very well handled. This is a big, cuddly, rich, ripe style. The texture is seductive, creamy even, and there is excellent length with silky tannins. On the palate, we see the emergence of more chocolate notes and black cherries. It should drink beautifully, not only while young, but over the next six to ten years.”

Wake Hill Shiraz
2021 Clare Valley
Aromas of dark cherry, red plum and licorice with hints of toast and vanilla. Wake Hill’s Shiraz is full bodies & beautifully balanced.
Ripe red and black fruits are rounded by a sweet tannin finish of roasted coffee beans, thanks to a medium-fine French oak maturation.
Drink to 2035.
